Who Affects Your Performance?

Have you ever really sat down to answer that question?

While many leaders know who the players are, many don't (1) know exactly how each affects performance, and (2) have a plan for how best to maintain the right relationship with the key stakeholders.

A stakeholder is that person with which you are interdependent for success. When a leader has a proactive, deliberate plan for how he or she will work with each stakeholder, performance will improve and relationships will be an advantage. Understanding your stakeholders and where you are with each person is key in all environments, but our current reality actually demands that knowledge.

The current business environment is temporary; however, leaders will emerge from this time either stronger or weaker. Will you have stronger relationships with your team, your customers and your suppliers? Or will you find yourself with less connection, retention issues and lost business?

Visit our Products and Tools page for a quick 2-page worksheet that will help you identify your key stakeholders and how you should best work with them. I know this deliberate planning will help you leverage strong relationships and improve those that need action. Make this time a story of success that you will tell in the future.
